Do you know...Candles have Memory!

 

Candle Memory is why it's so important to light a candle when you have time to allow it to burn propely.  Candles should be lit continuously a minimum of 1 hour or each inch in diameter.

 

A 3" candles hould burn continuously for at least 3 hours because candles really do have memory!

 

If a 3" diameter candle is only allowed to burn for 1 hour and not reach the sides, it will remember to only burn out that for for future burns causing it to tunnel and not envelop all the wax and delicious aroma for your enjoyment.
 
 

Pillar Candles should burn until the melt pool reached 1/4" from the sides forming a wall.  Eventually the sides will become thinner with each burn.  Follow the minimum 1 hour guide for each inch with each burn.

 

Soy Jar Candles should burn each time until the melt pool reaches all the way to the edge of the glass using the guide of 1 hour minimum for each inch in diameter.

Soy wax in jars may pull away from the sides if a change in temperature occurs, but it will not affect the burn or the scent.

 

Beeswax will, over time form a "bloom" ceating a bit of white on the surface.  This will not affect the burn and serves as a confirmation that the wax is pure.

 

"Frosting" - a powdery look of soy wax is a natural occurrence and will not affect the burn or scent.
 
 

Basic Candle Burning Tips for all types of candles ~

~Never leave any type of candle burning unattended
~Keep burning candles away from children and pets
~Do not place burning candles near flammable objects
~Place all candles, including jar candles on a heat resistant, level surface
~Keep candle free of wick trimmings, matches or other items that could be a fire hazard
~Avoid burning in drafts to eliminate uneven burning
~Keep wicks trimmed to 1/4 inch
~Check candles periodically to make sure candle wick is centered
~Allow candle to cool before touching a glass jar or replacing the lid

We continuously test our candles and it is important to us to offer a clean, optimum burn for each type of candle we make.  Having the proper wax to essential oil ratio, along with the proper wick size allows our candles to utilize most of their wax without breaching the sides of our pillar candles and allowing a burn to the sides of our container candles.
